Welcome!

I'm always hoping to get more conversation going on in this place.

Hey guys! Just thought I'd put in my 2p on the subject.
For one thing, you have to remember that it's very hard to establish a good message board, as people aren't likely to reguarly check and post if it seems like there isn't much activity (which is a bit of a vicious cycle).
Also I personally think that the layout of the board is a bit confusing; I'm sure the person who designed it had their reasons for doing it in the way it is, but personally I think it's better to have the different catagories seperate rather than all together.
Also I think that it's good to have a space on message boards where people can just chat about random stuff. This helps people to get to know each other and build up a sense of community around the board. I know you want people to actually meet up and do stuff rather than just hang out in a message board, but for one thing most of us have been taught to be wary of meeting people in real life from online and would feel like they needed to trust them first (especially if they're a model on the site). Also we are all from different places and can't necesarily meet each other in person.
Anyway, I've rambled enough now. Laters!

I opted to go with this modification of the default board layout because I knew there wasn't going to be enough conversation, at least initially, for there to really warrant different sections. I think there's less of an interest if someone glances at ____ section and reads, "wow, no one's posted there in two months, that sounds boring". I like the "tag" system for now, and I'm hoping it encourages people to read the subject of, and consider posting in, every thread we currently have. (Which aren't many.) If the board gets quite active in the future, I think separate sections make sense, but for now, I plan to keep it as a single-index board. (I do appreacitw your input, though!)

I have an "other" tag for that sort of thing (all the "random stuff" anyone might want to chat about). And - woohoo! - someone *wink* has started the first thread under that tag.
