THE
BIG THREE PHOTO RULES:
* For finished
sets, I am looking for 60-80 usable photos. Chances
are that I won't use all the images you send in, especially
if many of them are very similar, blurry, or if there are
lighting issues. I suggest shooting at least 3 times the
amount you want, so there are plenty of images to choose
from.
* Shoot and
submit photos sized at least 1024x768 pixels. Tiny sets
will be rejected, sorry.
* DO NOT
photoshop, crop, apply digital effects, etc., to you your
images or change anything about them without clearing
it with me first. If there's something you'd like changed,
ask me, and maybe it's something I can do.
THE OTHER
MOST IMPORTANT THING- YOU!
* Veg Porn showcases
people doing what they think is sexy. Don't do anything
that you don't feel comfortable doing - if pin-up is more
your thing, go with it, and if jilling/jerking off for the
camera or having sex with your lover is your style, go with
it.
* I hope that you'll come as you are- there's no need to
apply makeup, shave, or do anything "porny" that
you don't feel like doing.
* Please include some photos which show your whole face
clearly for bio page images.
* Don't feel like you have to take pics that are "what
porn should look like". Don't feel obligated to go
with "standard" poses or themes you've seen used
on a lot of other sites.
* Set aside plenty of time to take photos. You don't want
to feel rushed.
* Having a mirror nearby can help you check yourself out
and plan how you want your photos to go.
* I encourage the use of condoms and other safer sex barriers
with couples play, but I don't require them.
* If you're sending in a set with your partner, please show
both people. Veg Porn is not looking for sets with "stunt
cock" guys, I want to get to know, and see more than
the crotches of both partners.
* Although the nod to the site is cute, please don't do
sets where you are masturbating to the photos of another
model on Veg Porn. In case I ever removes their set for
whatever reason, I don't want to have to take down two sets.
* While I don't have any "minimum nudity" rules,
I'd like to generally see more of you than I could see at
the beach. When it comes to photos from guys, I am looking
for sets that don't climax with being shirtless, since in
our society, a shirtless guy isn't exactly pornographic.
PHOTO TIPS:
* Clean up
the space you'll be shooting in, take out anything you don't
want people to see, and avoid putting things with big corporate
logos in the frame.
* I don't need "studio perfect" photography, but
I am looking for pics that are in focus and well-lit. I
want to see you!
* Take way more photos than you think you'll need. Even
the pros lose lots of images. If you're trying to shoot
80 pics, try to take 240 so you can pick the ones you like
most.
* You don't need to center every photo. Avoid shooting every
photo from the same angle and distance. Even if you're working
with an auto-timer or remote and a tripod, remember to change
angles and zoom as you go.
* I discourage flash photography unless you have a professional
setup. Amateur flash photos often come out very washed out.
* If you're trying to minimize/maximize parts of your body,
shoot with the camera closer to parts you want to emphasize.
* Try keeping a notebook of ideas and camera settings and
lighting ideas. If you want to shoot pics again, you'll
have easy access to the info.
LIGHTING
TIPS:
* Light is your
friend! The more light you can add to photos, the better
they'll turn out. Light also works to make things like stretch
marks, wrinkles, bumps, and scars less visible.
* Available sunlight is wonderful, and my personal favorite
kind of lighting. Standard light bulbs cast a yellowy light,
but you can find bulbs which are tinted slightly blue called
Reveal by GE, at most stores for a few dollars. These are
an easy way to get cleaner light for indoor photos.
* Try using a shop/flood
light like a quartz halogen lamp. ($20-40 at any hardware
store, or a friend might have one lying around their garage,
too.) Aim it against a wall so the light gets diffused.
Stand lamps with multiple "heads" are also good
too.
* Overhead lighting can create shadows where you might not
want shadows, such as under your eyes.
NAKED VEGAN
RECIPES:
* A tasty original
vegan recipe (no meat, eggs, dairy, or honey) and 10-20
photos of a veg person making it. Photos must be in the
buff, but how naughty you want to get is up to you. Please
shoot hi-res, well-lit pics, and follow all the other suggestions
on this page.
* The payment rate for naked vegan recipes is $40 per person
featured in the recipe. (Cooking couples will get $40 each,
a total of $80 combined.)
VEGGIE RESTAURANT
REVIEWS:
* Reviews should be at least
400 words and include at least 3 photos, which should include
one of the exterior or main area, one of something edible,
and one of you, the model, on location. (More photos are
certainly encouraged). Try to avoid using your flash, which
can wash out close-up images of food/people; consider eating
by the window during the daytime. Avoid getting other people
in your images (unless you know the owner and they'd like
to be photographed clothed and seen on VP), just so no one
gets pissed off if they find out they're on a porn site.
* The restaurant must be all vegetarian, including no fish.
Please make note of how much of the menu is vegan in your
review.
* I won't ask people to write fake glowing reviews, but
don't pick a crappy place to write about in the first place.
Let's showcase really good restaurants, and do so in friendly
ways, rather than being overly critical of places that aren't
very good anyhow.
* Hopefully, you'll be reviewing a place you've eaten at
a number of times, so you can recommend and compare a number
of items on the menu.
* If you can, include a history of the place, how long they've
been open, if they do special community events, anything
that makes the place special and interesting.
* Include a full address, telephone number, and web site,
if available. Eateries outside of the US are welcome!
* Avoid quoting exact prices, since these can change. Obviously,
if you eat at Millennium, you'd mention that it's a high-end
restaurant, or that some little punk cafe is cheap, but
I'm not going to sort reviews by price ranges.
* The payment for one review and at least three usable photos
is $40 per person featured/writing.
* For two person reviews, I'm looking for 600 words and
at least 5 photos, with a review that clearly shows two
models are writing/eating. (Which could be a collaborative
review or a conversational tradeoff between two people.
You figure out what works best for you.)
